Parvati Nair – Maiden of God’s own country

Parvati Nair, born in Abu Dhabi in a Malayali family, ventured into modelling while being a software professional and became a successful actress later on. 

She debuted with the film Poppins in 2012, directed by V.K. Prakash. Parvati became well known after her performance in Gowtham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal along side ‘Thala’ Ajit. Later she also starred with Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan in Uttama Villian.

Uttama Villian was her first Tamil Movie, on the Actors Birthday in 2020, Nair shared her working experience with Kamal Hassan on Instagram. ‘His visions are impeccable, his ideas are of sheer brilliance and magnificence! What a stunning experience it was to share the screen with the one and only Ulaganayagan This is one of my favourite scenes from Uthamavillain, my first Tamil movie Directed by Ramesh Aravind! Wishing you the best in everything Kamal Haasan sir.”

During her modelling career, she appeared in Television Commercials and won the titles of ‘Miss Karnataka’ and ‘Miss Navy Queen.’ Parvati also has artistic talent, she, along with a team of students, during her schooling won the Guinness world records for making the longest painting in the world.

Nair worked in all south languages as a lead actress except in Telugu till now, she bagged many awards including a film fare nomination for her role in Yennai Arindal. Currently, Nair is a part of Kabir Khan’s 83, based on Indian Cricket Team’s world cup victory 1983, Vaibhav’s Alambana directed by Pari K Vijay, and a supernatural thriller film called ‘Rubam’.
