Bollywood youngest superstar Urvashi Rautela has made a place for herself in the heart of the audience with her amazing performances in movies and music videos. The actress is also known for her trendy and experimental fashion sense, which she always aces. The actress wore outfits and accessories from head to toe by the brand Versace in her recent international music video “Versace Baby”.
Urvashi Rautela recently made her debut internationally with the album “Versace Baby” with Mohamed Ramadan, the song is loved by millions of fans across the globe and is trending. One of the iconic outfits from the song which Urvashi Rautela is wearing is a signature black gown made of silk and lycra. The evening gown originally modelled at Versace’s Spring/Summer 1994 runway show, it has a plunging neckline, slimline straps. There is a thigh-high slit with golden Medusa’s head safety pin strategically put along the slits. A very similar design of this dress was worn by Elizabeth Hurley in ’94 and the same dress was donned by Gal Gadot at Seoul Virtual Press Tour. Urvashi Rautela feels the dress is empowering as Donatella Versace has said in multiple interviews that a dress is a weapon for a woman to get what she wants. Gianni Versace also quoted in ’97 that the dress was inspired by the punk subculture (hence the safety pins), and the Indian sari (as seen in the wrap-around design of the silhouette). Gianni made that dress for a woman who is sure of herself and who isn’t afraid to break the rules and certainly, we believe Urvashi Rautela is one of these strong personalities.
On the work front, Urvashi Rautela will be making her Tamil debut with a big-budget sci-fi Tamil film in which she will be playing the role of a microbiologist and an IITian, and later she is going to appear in a bilingual thriller “Black Rose” along with the Hindi remake of “Thirutu Payale 2”. Urvashi is starring in the web series “Inspector Avinash” alongside Randeep Hooda, which is a biopic based on the true story of super cop Avinash Mishra.
